We embrace the details and planning process required to create graceful, luxurious events so that you can enjoy the celebration without breaking stride from your fulfilling, daily life.
Owner & Lead Event Designer
Equally left/right brained with a background in both science and art history, I am curious about everything the world has to offer. Chocolate, wine, and good conversation will always make me smile and, in my spare time, I love to nurture my garden and home with my husband and three children. You will always find one area of my home in process of being redesigned.
My passion for living and learning have led me all over the world; I’ve lived in England, Austria, Estonia, Vancouver, Zimbabwe, and visited even more. As a Seattle transplant to DC, I have mastered the art of the rain plan and finding the best coffee shop in a 10 mile radius from wherever I am.
Throughout my life I’ve experienced many different sectors of the wedding industry: floral design, photography, catering, wedding fashion- anything that could provide me with a creative outlet. I believe the little details matter. I feel that putting thought into the small things communicates a lot about your life and personal sense of style.
I find joy in the little things and pull my inspiration from both fine art and everyday life. The best part of my work is when I get to stand back for a moment at an event and see you completely at ease, laughing with your favorite people, without a care in the world. That is what keeps me going each day.
associate event designer & planner
I'm a Chicago native, Queen fanatic, former makeup artist, and cat enthusiast. The quickest way to my heart involves good margaritas, Sephora deliveries, and The Office.
My passion for weddings and events started as a little girl with a love for all things that sparkled. That passion followed me to college, at which point I moved to D.C. to study theatre and production management at the University of Maryland. My time in theatre taught me a multitude of lessons that now translate into my role as an event planner (creating seamless timelines, preemptive problem-solving, how to be flexible in the face of challenges, etc.) Most importantly, though, it taught me to think outside of the box.
My goal is to make your vision come to life while keeping you as stress free as possible. When it comes down to it, the process should be enjoyable and it should be exciting for you to create these lasting memories. Your excitement is what I strive to accomplish when I'm helping to choose a color palette, overall decor, or even a signature cocktail. I embrace details, welcome a challenge, and pride myself on staying cool, calm, and collected no matter the situation.
For me, being an event planner isn't just fun- I get to build lasting relationships with incredible people every day and learn something new in the process. That is why I love what I do.
